Default Hench parking in HM

So it seems to me that this has been nerfed also.

I have been running the Zelnehlun farm run in HM. I decided to bring and park Henchies... I let the henchies clear the mobs right outside, including Terobs mob, Then I park Henchies out of range and solo Terob.

Now here is what seems broke/nerfed, the spider mob has 16 spiders. Henchies parked a mile away (greyed out), I am getting about 1 drop of gold coins and one or two whites. Since I have a full party no loot scaling right? I should get all the henchies drops, at least it used to work that way.

Wow, I hope my post wasn't that unclear.

I have been soloing the run in HM by running past them just fine. Not the issue.

I brought henchies to park them out of range and get thier drops. Zelnehlun and his mob used to drop a big pile of stuff before loot scaling. I thought I would get the drops back by bringing the hench men and then parking them so they were too far to get thier drops. This USED to work. Now it seems loot scaling kicks in also for out of range henchies.

loot scaling affects if your solo or not ..

if your 1/8 you will only get 1/8 of the drops now

same as if ur 8/8 .. u get 1/8 of the drops.

also if ur farming there alot .. farming code? .. anet say thy got rid of it .. but it doesnt seem that way to me.

But in the pre-lootscaling, pre-HM days... henchies could be parked and you would get thier drops. I was hoping that bringing henchies triggered 8/8 drops, and I would get them all because henchies were out of range. I think the 1/8, 2/8, 3/8...8/8 is determined by what allies are in the radar, and not by party size.

I agree 100% there is no way in hell that the farm code is gone in HM

The loot scaling works on the number of characters in the "active zone". You are the only one near the bad guys so it considers you a party of one and drops accordingly, the real kicker is that you still have to share your money drops with them. You're better off leaving the henchies in the outpost.

The only good reason to bring the herohench with you is to help clear the way safely to precisely whatever you want to farm.

lol, heroes and hench dont effect loot scaling, they DO NOT count as "players" and therefore you can kill everything with heroes/henches right next to you and you would still get same drops, flagging is pointless, and also, ALL GOLDS DROP FOR A PLAYER hench and heroes are completely ignored when a GOLD, <rare> item drops

Where does this info come from? That's the first time I hear that, as to my knowledge golds also get assigned to hero/hench. Why do you think people solo?

The reason to bring henches is to clear the way so then u can solo farm the boss for the green and always get the green if the boss drops it, as green, gold items and rare materials arent affected by loot scalling.
